Matroni Dikaiakou, key moderator of the ECHOPOLIS conference, is a huge enthusiast of almost everything that has to do with nature. Despite working for the insalubrious world of the mass media for the last 20 odd years -mostly television- she never misses a chance to highlight different kinds of environment issues.
She has worked for the Intenational news section of ERT (public radio/ television of Greece) and the Sunday edition of Eleftherotypia newspaper. Since 2005 she’s part of the television station of the Hellenic Parliament team, where she has contributed in the news section. Eversince 2007 she also produces and presents 3 different shows in alternation (Karta Melous/ Member’s Pass, Diavoulefsis/ Consultations, Tetradia Koinovouleftikou Loghou/ Books of Parliamentary speech ) . She holds a degree in English Litterature from the University of Athens and a master’s degree in International Journalism from City University, London. She has also followed courses of History of Art, Psychology and writing for the Mass Media in Deree College. She treasures her days in Spectrum Radio in London and the magazine “Zoofilia kai fysiki zoi” where she first wrote about her much loved cats, dogs and nature. Ages ago she was a girl guide. More recently she volunteered in the Protection Society of the Pendeli- Halandri Ravine, being a member of its board. She is still a member.
Dr. Konstantina C. Dimitrouli studied at Panteion University and received a postgraduate degree from the University of New Castle upon Tyne. She was honored with the title of Doctor of International Relations from the University of Macedonia. She has been working as a journalist and analyst for international and European economic and political issues over the last 20 years. She is currently working in the Greek Broadcasting Company. She is also author of two books on the Greek economy and energy policy.
Anna Nikolaidis holds a Bachelor of Arts in French Language and Literature (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA)), a Master of Arts in Philosophy (NKUA) and an MBA (Groupe ESLSCA, Paris). She has received awards for her Business and Social Ethics Essays by the EBEN Foundation (2013-2015, 3rd and 4th place). Anna is currently a PhD candidate in Ethics and Philosophy (NKUA). Anna has produced a documentary film called ”Refugees, voluntarism and giving” and she has published a book in Ethics and Philosophy (2011) entitled “The moral background of CSR in NGOs and UNCHR in Greece”, ed. Livanis. In 2016, Anna has published a collection of poems on “Τhoughts and Words”, ed. Bartzoulianos. She has also published an article with a title “The Philosophy of Business Ethics”, Social Survey 19: 22-23(2016). Anna has written a number of articles in Ethics and Philosophy focused on “The ethical policy communication of NGOs” submitted in international journals for publication (currently under review). Anna has served as a volunteer in a number of NGOs and served as an intern in UNHCR. Anna is a producer, journalist, presenter and instigator of the “Anadeixe to” scientific and cultural magazino, transmitted all over Greece and abroad via collaborations with national and international TV channels.
